Gatehouse Security guards & attendants/ front Desk Doormen & concierge Personnel/ vehicle patrol Security guards
Minimum five (5) years’ experience in security, law enforcement or equivalent experience
Possess a current valid license as a NYS Dept. of State or NJ SORA Registration as security guard
Able to speak/write English fluently and communicate with employees and clientele
Prepare reports and are computer literate to utilize Guardtek mPost application
In good physical condition to perform the essential duties of the position
Assigned in police style tactical uniform, or black suit, with customization options including nameplate & optional building address (residential or commercial), or site specific badging/logo patches (common with BIDs, HOAs & Municipalities)
Have a copy of their current DOS or NJ SORA photo ID card and copy on file with KPS
Completed all DOS and Department of Criminal Justice Service or NJSP security guard training requirements (8 hr. pre-assignment, 16 hour OJT, 8 Hour Annual)
Visibly display the DOS photo ID or NJ SORA photo ID on the guard’s person at all times while on duty
Maintain a clean and neat appearance at all times, and wear the uniform properly
KPS will maintain a copy of guard’s I-9 Employment Eligibility Form in the guard’s file
Pass initial and random Drug Tests
Participate in all mandated training per management/board

Our FDNY Certified Fire Guards & Fire Safety Directors possess all of the above qualifications, based on desired level of service, and are certified with all applicable FDNY Certificates of fitness, either as a fireguard or FSD/EAP based on your location's needs
